Well I do think I've moaned far too much recently, so my reasons to be cheerful are..............
I have two wonderful children who I love dearly and, because neither of them have reached that 'difficult' teenage stage yet, seem to love me back!
I have some fantastic friends, I feel quite 'friend full' at the moment and it's a good feeling.
No one close to me has a life threatening illness.
My mum is a fab lady, even though she drives me mad sometimes!
We have a roof over our head and, although it's by no means my dream home, it is big enough and comfortable enough and we can afford it!
We live in relative peace..........
Oh I don't think I can keep this up anymore! It's bloody well pouring with rain outside, the house is a tip (step away from the computer Suburbia and do some housework!) and my Husband has turned into the Grinch!!! Yep, he's green and all... Oh no that's Small Sprogs scurvy, I forgot!
So sod the cheer, give me a good old moan anytime.
Yours (enjoying the misery!)

Horrible day here too - brother from oz, who is visiting us, is moaning about the weather - over in Oz it is 30C!!
Sorry husband is still down in the dumps - my son had SAD when he was 18 years old and went to bed at 5pm every night to enable him to drag himself off to work in the morning. After about 5 winter seasons it seemed to go away. Let us hope husband can "see the light".
oh it does help so much doesn't it, to let it all out in a good old moan!
Counting your blessings is all fine and dandy but moaning, well nothing beats it.
I had a good old moan to a pal this morning, and felt sooooooooo much better for it.
It is cold, rainy and dark too soon here, so I am just adding to your list now!! ;0)
And another moan......why does time fly by so fast when you are on the computer? Never known hours go by at such a rate!
Letty
LOl..l must admit l was wondering what was with you for the first part of this post!! LOL
grinch like huh!! where shall we spend christmas then?? old movies, old songs, gin and chocolate and a dance around in brushed cotton over sized pj's....
Great post - that was a v.funny turn around after such a serene start.
You are a witty blogger!
:)
Suburbia,
It occurs to me that you might be due for a good glass of port and a night out with the girls.
In leopard shoes.
;o)
On a more serious note, when you said that no one close to you has a life threatening illness, you made me count my blessings. Someone very close to me is about to pass away from breast cancer and it is ugly right now. I got more news this morning that it's taking a turn for the worse.
I am grateful for every day that she lives, right now. And I am so grateful that you are not in my shoes, may that blessing continue to live in your home.
XOXO

Great one Suburbia! Really well put.
What do you think will happen with Jack and Peggy?
xxx
Letty, it's a conspiricy!
Saz, Oooh yes please, that sounds perfect but wine not gin thanks!!
Scarlett, you are right, that's just what I need. I wish you were closer :)
So very sorry to here you have a loved one with cancer. Hugs to you X
Jenny, perhaps someone will shoot them both!! No, just kidding ;)She is a saint though, don't you think? He'd have driven me mad by now!!
Love the photo. Can we moan and count our blessings simultaneously? That's usually what I end up doing! Yep. Computer stuff is far more interesting than homework any day.
I echo the last comment.
People who are permanently cheery are often a pain in the.......
I like people who have the normal range of emotions.......
yes, glass of wine recommended.
I often count my blessings, but some days I just feel low, whatever! Yes, you are lucky compared to some, but it's good to have a moan on your blog. I'm still painting the hall, stairs and landing. It's really dragging on, because I keep having to stop for a few days and do something else. This rainy, dark and gloomy weather is awful.
Hope your husband feels better soon. Then you will, too, of course!
You know, Suburbia, I know a few women who are always cheerful and everything is just "wonderful" in their lives--they get on my nerves after awhile. Give me someone who will vent and complain with me anytime!
My carpet is covered with dog hair at the moment, and the laundry hasn't been folded in days. Of course, I have been teaching, and Hubby has been at home all day. Hmmm.
Will you have a piece of chocolate with me...or maybe another glass of wine?:)
I'm supposed to be working and am actually sitting in my pyjamas blogging. Must get on with it, hope you enjoy a bloody good old moan, there's nothing quite like it! Blogthatmamax
We all get down every now and then. November is such a gloomy month and the news these days is all doom and gloom. Having a moan on your blog is better than not blogging and bottling things up.
There is an award for you on my blog.
I'm sitting here about to be smothered by a dangerously leaning mountain of laundry begging to be folded--threatening more like it. Awoken far, far too early by these precious little ones whom I am grateful for every single day--but just now? Mommy isn't here. Leave me alone.
Moan away, Suburbia! Your family knows you love them. Lord knows you need somewhere to vent!
Spot on, in fact - please can I cut and paste this and use it for my next blog? Just change two children to one and we're done.
Cheeky monkey lol, you really had me going there.
Hulla
xx
I just love a good moan. Cheers me right up. Have spent day in my house doing a Christmas Fair which sounds totally awful, but was really nice. Largely down to being with brilliant friends all day, who you can have a right old moan with... ended up with a food fight. someone had brought a cake that was totally foul, so I threw it against the window...icing and all. Some of our children joined in. Had a ball. Clearing up was a pain so we moaned a bit more. I must grow up.
Yes, I am sure that your six things can count.
Word verification was troll

I thought you were sickening for something, Suburbia! LOLl
Only joking....... there is nothing like a good moan for getting it all out of our system...... and you have a brilliant sense of humour about everything!
Don't change!
And you started off so well!
