3.30pm: Small Sprog was jiggling about a lot when I picked him up from school this afternoon. We walked to the car and drove off. After a few bumps in the road he said, in a very grown up voice "I really need to empty my bladder."
"Lovely!"
"Every time we go over a bump my bladder joggles up and down!"
Very biological, and just a bit too much information, I thought as I drove (at breakneck speed) sensibly back home for the toilet.
And whatever happened to "Mummy I need a wee"?!
It's now 8.30pm and Small Sprog and Tall Girl have just 'retired' to their rooms. We have had lots of fun tonight making Christmas cards and singing along to an old Christmas CD. Favourites include: I Wish It Could Be Christmas Everyday by Slade (Small Sprogs favourite because Noddy Holder blows a raspberry at the begining of the song)
The Power Of Love by Frankie Goes To Hollywood (my favourite because Tall Girl and I can sing along in a karioke/pub singer type way)
Angels by Robbie Williams (Tall Girls Favourite because I once told her, when she was little, that this was her song becauses she was my angel!)
We all sing at full blast in the kitchen (Husband disappears because we are 'too noisy'!) and sometimes there is dancing involved. Oh I'm getting all Christmassy. I hope I'm not peaking too early!

Is he like my children were and refuses to use the school toilets?!
Oh, the verifier is bigads, which sounds sort fo rude, nudge, nudge, but I don't know why ...
Suburbia,
From Brazil a friendly hello with my best wishes:
Geraldo
Clearly they've been doing some biology. Full marks!
Yes Liz, neither of mine like using the school loos, but then again, neither did I!
I think we both might have bigads ;)!
So did you make it back in time??!
maybe he is going to be a doctor? Already knows the physiology..
Any in-car drama?
:)
Bott my granddaughters do the same to me when I am halfway home from school with them
I think it has got to be the school toilets!
Glad you are in the festive mood!
What a relief! When I saw the title of your post, at my place, I thought that you were fessing up to a little accident of your own. I couldn't get over here fast enough. ;0)
My husband has also had to put up with my 6 CDs of Christmas music, today. We went Christmas shopping and I played them in the car, so he couldn't get away from them. Even he couldn't resist joining in with Rudolf The Red-nosed Reindeer.
I love the way children give us the inspiration for our blog posts!
This was very funny. I also have many tales of my three, especially, for some reason the two boys, and the needing the loo situation!
I love Christmas music, but be careful not to peak too early!!
A local department store was playing the Christmas songs in early October...........
Letty ;0)
Sounds like you have great fun! :)
Yes, Casdok we did , with no in car drama BS5!
Maggie, I always 'waited' until I got homew when I was little too. Seems school toilets are still not places you would want to 'go'!
Mean Mom, not quite yet :)
Sounds like the perfect evening, Suburbia--that is, singing Christmas carols and making cards, not rushing home to make it to the bathroom:)
