Seeing as I'd got that far, I thought I ought to try the stuff on, it would have been silly not to wouldn't it? I mean, it's not very often that there is a plethora of size 12 long jeans for the taking. It just had to be done.
Now buying jeans is not one of my favourite things to do in the world, it comes second to buying a bra, which can be a right pain in the....... (and I'm not going into details here but Liz knows what I mean, click her name for the post, if you have never experienced a 'fitting'.) So I eyed the selection with suspicion, because although they all said they were 12L, that didn't necessarily mean that any of them were going to fit.
Of course if none had fitted I would have been justified in taking such a large a armful into the changing room with me, but seeing as they all fitted, well what was a girl to do?
Hmmm, what would you have done?!

It was good economy on your part. Definitely. I'm going to tell Husband the same thing when he finds out how much my bras cost!
Thanks for the mention too!
I would have done exactly as you did. So did you get a bargain?
I walked into Next Trafford Park on Saturday and ended up buying a bedroom. Your jeans sound reasonable by comparison
Good jeans make one feel slim and
uber cool
I'm sure you look wonderful in your new ones.

pling
is that like bling?
buy the lot. just notice the word verification NoNo.
I hate buying jeans and bras to! But you cant pass up a bargain.
You can always take 'em back later (if you haven't cut the tags out)...
Good for you. Have a treat.
I'm always a bit discouraged from Next sales - like you say, with those rows and rows of things - but now you have given me inspiration. xxx
We had a look at that sale last Sunday. As usual, nothing left in the blocks section unless you’re a dwarf or bigger than a house. Size 7 shoes or size 13... take your pick.
I suppose I would have HAD to buy them all!!!! I would make them last though!
You are lovely and slim! Lucky you!
Well, Suburbia, I have come to really dread clothes shopping. But when I find pants/jeans that fit, well, yes, buy them all!! I don't know about the UK, but here in the States, tall sizes are often hard to find, not to mention anything over a size 6 (!),so when I can find them I buy several pairs.
Personally, I'd like to applaud your effort to bouy up the UK's flagging economy. Thank you for your selflessness. A country salutes you.
I also have problems finding clothes to fit, having long legs and long arms. If I find something that actually fits, I snap it up immediately.
If they fit, buy them is my motto. Too often when I really need something I just can't find it so my wardrobe is almost entirely impulse purchases. Somehow they all manage to go together and sizes vary from 12 - 16. Even one size 18 "stretch fit" jumper fits. Maybe things are now made in places where they have no idea what a size 14 woman looks like.
I normally spent 5 mins in a the Next sale I can't be arsed to trawl through the stuff.
However here is my latest trick... Choice. They have a store at an outlet centre near us and they sell "High Street brands and Next to nothing prices"... get it! The Next is in a different font... nudge nudge...
They sell off old Next stock and seconds. So now when we are in Next my wife concludes that I'm only figuring out what I'll buy at Choice in 6 months time :-) She's not far wrong I got some nice jeans for under £12 the other day, originally in Next they were the wrong side of £30!
You just have to buy them when they're a bargain - who knows when you will find jeans that fit well again? :0
Buy them! he he he!
I have just discovered M and S, straight leg jeans, for £12 in the long length, (I am 5ft 9ins) they are a lovely cut, and style.
But totally agree, finding and shopping for jeans is akin to bra shopping, difficult!

Bought the lot!
GG
I wouldn't have bought any of them. I'm a 16 petite! x
