The letter L
L is for longing
This is Small Sprog on holiday last year.
It was our last evening and he was sad.
All he wanted to do was help the children on the
other side of the water with a spot off crabbing, but sadly we had to leave.
Poor Small Sprog!

oh gosh great post, and evokes the longing I felt often as a child watching others....always seemed that the grass was greener!
ReplyDeleteThe picture says it all...
ReplyDeleteGreat photo, and SS looks like a cutie!
Aaah! Poor little chap! Good photo though. Just captured the moment. (Thanks for your email!)
ReplyDeleteahh! poor guy. He must have had a wonderful time, just not wanting it to end.
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautifully longing! The sunset is also a sign of leaving. Thanks for your visit.
ReplyDeleteHe has a definite look of longing about him!
ReplyDeleteI know exactly how he feels and I caught the emotion as soon as I saw the pic.
ReplyDeleteYou have captured his LONGING in your photo.
ReplyDeleteNice job.
Bear((( )))

Lovely photo filled with longing. All good things come to an end.
ReplyDeleteI am dying to know how you got on at the dentist!
What a well dressed , well prepared-for-life chap. He's got a ticket to ride, of that I'm pretty sure.
ReplyDeleteI don't see longing as a lasting emotion in that; as a fellow chap, I see *potential* in SS's upcoming chapness.
I may have missed the longing in this because I probably can't empathise with that as a single fellow with no children (yet), but perhaps I see different, equally valid stuff?
Awwww... you captured that emotion alright. Pefect photo for L. .
ReplyDeleteThis makes me sad just looking at it. Such a look of longing.
ReplyDeleteI loved this post! Lovely!
ReplyDeleteI loved your photo and text too. I almost felt the sadness on him!
ReplyDeleteLove this shot, such atmosphere
ReplyDeleteHi Maggie. I am too ashamed to post about it after hving made so much fuss!! It was a pain free and quick filling. Still £40 though!
ReplyDeleteBS5, no perhaps about it. Just your ever present positivity and enthusiasm for life coming through. I should have added in the post that we ahd been out for dinner (early/children time!)because he does look a tad overdressed for the beach!
Brett that is high prase indeed from you. Thanks you so much (a long way to go though!!)
Oh, poor Small Sprog! It's a perfect picture though.
ReplyDeleteI could feel his sadness. I always feel sad to leave the water, whether it is an ocean, a lake, a stream.
