Dating skills

Small Sprog has a friend home for tea tonight. I'll give you two guesses about the gender of said friend!! Yep, another girl, another different girl! She was his second choice, the first one (also a girl!) was having tea with someone else but at least he has a hareem of them to fall back on! Second choice is first choices best friend (I think he needs to be careful with this strategy as he gets a bit older!) Another skill which is rather important in later years is to remember the girls name! He can't remember her name!! He's got a whole classful to remember (sheesh!) and he is dyslexic but I think he ought to try and get her name right don't you?! More training for the future.

I have just let them loose in the garden and they were last seen bouncing on the trampoline together. I did a double take because Small Sprog appeared to have no trousers on but, on second glance it appears he has them pulled up to look like shorts. Phew!

Tall Girl has gone to see her friend. I called her on her phone earlier to check her lift had turned up. He phone was switched off. She's just like my mother! Both of them always have their phones off. What is the point of having a phone if you have it off all the time? I posed this question to my mum recently. "Well" She said "I have it for emergencies"
"What a bout my ****ing emergencies?" Exasperated of Bristol!

PS. Just for the record ( for BS5!) I didn't actually swear at my mum!

  1. I am most interested in Smallsprog's dating progress.
I think he would be a good friend to Kristen's son, Lukas, who loves a girl because of her Ewok-like teeth.
    See Kristin on my sidebar.
    Happy weekend.

  4. I have issues with daughter leaving her phone off too, but she's getting better about it.

No.2 still thinks 'girls are stinky' so we just get other loud boys back to play. I think girls have a civilising influence! x

  5. TG having her 'phone off all the time! Unheard of, surely? I thought all girls had to have their 'phones on 24/7 'in case someone texts me'.

  7. Ah, Small Sprog. A "playah" (player in a southern accent) in the making. According to my husband--who has since learned the error of his ways--names are unimportant. :D

  8. I always have my phone off - so does Husband - but you have made me think - yes we should have our phones on!
PS: Is your internet and email connection still up the creek? Virgin have been off and on all week.

  12. I don't think you have anything to worry about if Small Sprog can't remember the girl's name!
I usually have my cell phone turned on now, but I can't hear it if it's in my purse. I'm not sure if my purse is lined with lead or what:)

  13. Ha ha! Top stuff, and go Small Sprog, go! Risky danger on not memorising names, I agree. The chap has it about him, though!

I am glad you did not swear at your mum; that wouldn't be cricket.

  15. Thanks Peter.

I generally don't swear at anyone!

Rose mine is lead lined too ;)(It's definatly not the cash that makes it heavy anyway!!)

Gill, scary thought! Although he seems to have good taste so far.

Hulla, no I tried not to!

Linday, yep, virgin cut outs but better the last two days.

    Doi, love your accent!

Akelamanu, You can answer it when it rings for him then!

Hi Dottrel, I don't think she has quite got to that stage yet. Maybe I shouldn't encourage her to keep it on then!

Kitty, they sound quite alike! And as for civilising influence? Well some of them are quite a handful!!

Thanks Maggie, glad to make you smile :)

Scargosun, I have but it's not sunk in yet.

Elizabeth, lol! Ewok teeth? The mind boggles.

  17. I only switch my mobile phone on when I want it on. What is wrong with leaving a message on a mobile phone?
