What could a mummy want more, than to hear the words "I love you mummy" from their beautiful boy? Accompanied by several large hugs. Tall Girl is more reserved but Small Sprog has been a sweetheart today, he has pulled out all the stops! He can charm the birds from the trees, he charmed me from day one.
How was your Mothers Day?
Spent the day nursing a chickenpoxed toddler while my wife threw herself into some gardening (her current passion). Hopefully a box of chocolates sweetened the day...
ReplyDeleteA bit crap to be honest. The kids were sweet, with cards etc. but hubby had travelled and been a love for his mum yesterday and I ended up feeling dissapointed that we couldn't just go out and do something nice together, because of his tiredness and er, well mood. So it was a rugby and jobs day. Ah well, there's always next year! Glad you had fun :-) x
ReplyDeleteLovely. Just finished it with No 1 ladies' and a box of Maltesers. Time for bed now.
ReplyDeleteHope your week is good.
My mother's day was hectic as was my whole weekend, as I had all my grandchildren staying over for the whole weekend and my own two children and we did lots of walking after we prised the children from the screens!
ReplyDeleteHave some lovely garden plants and an electric grill! Wow...... my kids are generous!
Its quiet now they are all gone! Phew! I will get an early night, I think!
Seaside for me.
ReplyDeleteGlad you had a good one,
GG
Just catching up after the holiday, its great to read a whole week in one go.
ReplyDeleteSimple things, eh. Often the best.
ReplyDeleteHappy belated Mothers' Day! This caught me by surprise--here in the US, it's in May. Forget the cards, flowers, and gifts--I'd say you got the best gift of all!
ReplyDeleteI have a card on which No.2 wrote 'love you lots' and put lots of kisses. For him, that's demonstrative! We had a really lovely day, glad you did too. x
ReplyDeleteGlad you had a good one sweetie. Yes, mine was nice too. Got a super handbag (I;m not as deep as you ) xxxxx
ReplyDeleteThose words from your child are worth more than any card or present. I heard those words from my children (aged 38 and 33)yesterday accompanied by a kiss :)
ReplyDeleteGlad your day was good, mine was good - my son came and we went for a walk by the lake.
ReplyDeleteI hope your week will be good.
A trip to Skenfrith Castle and Aberdulais Falls in Wales - miraculously there were no arguments!
ReplyDeleteI'm glad that yours was nice!
ReplyDeleteWe don't celebrate it here until May.
Sending happy thoughts and wishful chocolate your way.
