For a start, there was poor Small Sprog. Well there was no one else to leave him with, so he had to go too. He was very good, he suffered in almost complete silence! That is the second film I've had to drag him to for my mums sake. I bought him a large carton of sweets as compensation and prayed that he didn't throw up before the final credits.
As for me, I am still feeling under the weather with a cold type thingy, and it is making me feel a bit 'low', so I sobbed through most of it!! Yes, sobbed. Thank goodness I sob quietly, I mean for goodness sake, what on earth is there to cry about in Fame (I'm gonna live forever...)? Luckily I could sob into my hankie without too much of a problem, blaming my cold for the runny eyes and nose blowing. How embarrassing. I fear there is just too much emotion flying about at the moment. Either that or I am slowly tipping over the edge...

Poor Sub, I hope you feel better. I remember sobbing all the way through Cinema Paradiso (no, there was nothing really in that to cry about either) but my face was wet and red raw when I went outside.
Its just you're in an emotional state at the moment. You'll get through it.
Is the film really as good as Alan parker's? Does it really have that gritiness? I'm not sure I could sit through a version of that Parker masterpiece.
Thinking of you sweetie xxx
No Jen, not a patch on the original!
I cried at Cinema Paradiso too!
I cry at football matches... too much emotion altogether packed up in my body! Poor you... such a lot going on for you at the moment...with a coldy thing on top. Cry as much as you like... lots of love. x
Did you cry at Mamma Mia? I did (hangs head). Sorry to hear you are feeling low honeybear. Sending hugs from Bobo and me.
Thanks Ladybird M, Hulla and Bobo
Nah, you will never tip over the edge Suburbia, you are one strong personage!
Husband here has a cold which has dragged on for 3 weeks, and my normally cheerful hubby has been laid low and excuse my french, pissed off totally by it.
So as the Aussies say, No Worries.
you are emotional because of your circumstances that is all, and the fact you are a bit low with your cold etc.
Keep positive........I used to adore FAME,............"I'm goin to live forever" wow, what positivity lives in that world!
Letty xxxxxx
So sorry that you are feeling under the weather. There is a lot of illness going about right now.
Thought your idea for your mother's Birthday treat was brilliant.
Glad two of them enjoyed it.
Don't worry. I sob through things too. Usually sad things...... but if you are feeling sad, then you are permitted to sob through happy things!
Look after yourself X
Nuts in May
I think women are programmed to cry at odd things - I cry when the knocked out couple do their final dance on Strictly! Hope you're feeling better soon.
My mother sobs at Lassie films - at least Fame has a bit more class! ;-)
better out than in-hope you feel better X
I may be a bloke but I also get weepy and sentimental over the most ridiculously inexplicable things. Like images of the Mourne Mountains on Countryfile this evening. How batty is that?
No way will you tip over the edge. You're as level-headed as they come....
Nothing wrong in having a good cry Sub. It's so understandable with what you are going through. I'm sending some sunshine your way, please can you send some rain my way. Keep smiling♥ Linda xoxo
Did you wear leggings? :-) x
Chris is refusing point blank to go and see it with me so I'm going to wait and drag Tom out with me on Wednesday night!! (Not that he'll need any dragging...he loves films like that!!)
I've cried over THE most ridiculous films (too ashamed to even admit what they are!!) so don't give it a second thought!!
Sending lots of hugs your way
C x
I think if I'd had to go to see Fame I'd have been reduced to tears frankly... :-)
I think my daughter went to see that with one of her friends... it's great when they are that age... I think Mrs F is still mentally scarred from the S-Club movie... although thier teenage independance does bring other worries.
(word veri is outtiz - apt for this may be.... :-))
You have won the blurb voucher!!!!! can you mail me your email address so that they can send it out.

I've done a lot of that recently Sub and I can honestly say, better out than it. You'll feel better for it eventually. Take care. x
Hope you're feeling better by now, Suburbia! I don't think you're going over the edge at all. Sometimes when you've kept so much inside, a few tears are bound to spill out; a dark movie theater sounds like a good place to "let it go."
Just got back from a long weekend and am catching up on blogging...not sure I'm making much sense here yet:) I do have a solution for your mother's "ambiguous" suggestion, though--don't send them any cards at all! Hope you have a good week!
Hullaballoo also cried at yesterday's How to Look Good Naked - I live in a world of moist cheeks!
