Falling in love!

I have fallen in love, he is the perfect cat, apart from his thinness, which makes him a bit boney to cuddle. We have named him Pencil, because of his thinny skinny body but sadly he is not mine. He lives across the way and his real name is Max.

His owner doesn't seem to be home much, and Pencil waits by our door for us to come home, whenever that might be. He seems truly happy and peaceful in our house, with company and attention. She says he's very old and that's why he is thin, but he seems constantly hungry! I know I shouldn't feed him, but he is hard to resist.

I have missed having a cat about the place, he is a real time waster, so calming to stoke a beautiful creature.

  2. We always had cats as children and long accepted that any cat has several owners... at least the canny ones do. Continue to feed him and give him love and company. Sounds like he gives plenty back.

  4. It is lovely to have a little cat to love. Any little animal seems to be very therapeutic to stroke and cuddle and they depend on humans so much.

I have had 3 cats in the past and when they got really old, 2 of them developed kidney problems and got very thin.
If this is the case, then he will need a vet.

I have had my rabbit neutered today and he has gone right off his food (Not surprisingly) but that is a bad sign with rabbits, I believe (When they stop eating.)
Any experience of this???? I have tried all his favourite foods.

  6. Are you sure you didn't call him Pencil because he is easily lead? lol! (Sad start to my day - laughing at my own jokes! - still, somebody has to!)

  7. Aww so cute. Hope he keeps coming to visit. My parents were always anti pet and were not at all please when my brother moved back in with them after losing his job bringing his cat. They still argue that they hate cats.....but Boris isn't a cat, he's just Boris (a massive fluffy ragdoll) and they love him! He keeps my dad company during the day adn seems to make everything a little calmer.

  10. I once had a cat come visit me. I named it Socks. It was a time waster, especially when it plonked itself on my lap! I fed it tuna. One day it didn't come. What happened I don't know :(
