I have a cold today. One of those drippy ones! I have a fever too (sob, sob) and I ache (lots of sympathy please) so I'm off to bed with a hot honey and lemon, some Ibuprofen and a tissue stuffed up each nostril!
Sorry about the cold. A tissue stuffed up each nostril reminds me of when I was a child I used to do the same because I thought flies would go up my nose during the night. It wasn't until my mother convinced me that flies would hate the idea of entering my nostrils and I stopped doing it!
Oh, how miserable! Sending lots of sympathy your way. There's an awful lot of colds about, at the moment, so at least you aren't suffering alone! Not much consolation, though is it? I hope that it doesn't last very long.
Some people will do anything to get out of going shopping with their mother and "auntie" :) Only kidding, Suburbia, I do hope you feel better tomorrow--it's no fun being sick. Maybe Husband or Tall Girl will serve you some tea and honey in bed. Get some rest.
Hope you feel better today. Husband has been informed of your Puma - he does not agree - he thinks it is a hungry university student with a very small grant!
How come that even when we get older, being tucked up in bed is still the best place to be when we are ill. Must be something from back in our childhoods. Get well soon.
oh dear!! my son too has a 102 temperature. Husband had same /man flu all last week, so he couldnt take me to the sage for the concert..what I omitted to write in the post was that he left next day to go to awards do at the Grosvenor, london, as no one else could possibly do it!! DOH...he's still away and pleading illness.. as mum always said if you can get outta bed you can go to school...my mantra too!well mostly..
