She's so cutting sometimes!
"Mmm, thanks!" I reply
"No you haven't" Small Sprog rushes in to rescue me, "it is a perfectly beautiful nozzle, to me" He soothes!
How does he do it? Always on cue, my sweet boy!
........so here goes
This is the blurb that goes with it and needs to be posted alongside the award on your post.
Blogs who receive this award are "exceedingly charming," says it's authors. This award is a fine one because it focuses not on the glory and fanfare of blogging, but in the PROXIMITY to one another through this online-world. "This blog invests and believes in the PROXIMITY--nearness in space, time and relationships. These blogs are exceedingly charming. These kind bloggers aim to find and be friends. They are not interested in prizes or self-aggrandizement! Our hope is that when the ribbons of these prizes are cut even more friendships are propagated. Please give more attention to these writers! Deliver this award to eight bloggers who must choose eight more and include this clever-written text into into the body of their award."
It is hard to chose only 8 bloggers, most people on my sidebar come into this category, so I will award this to the first 8 of you who comment here. I hope that's OK, too difficult to chose otherwise!
And lastly, to everyone who commented on my post below, your support has meant a lot, thanks so much for all your comments, they have stayed in my mind and kept me going this week.
This made me laugh so loud! A few weeks ago Harry, one of my grandchildren, was sitting on the floor looking up at me every so intently. Then he said "Nanna you've got a big nose!"
ReplyDeleteCongrats on the award. :)
Dear little Small Sprog. He looks after you!
ReplyDeleteI have had children gaze at my face & one said, *You must be very old..... are you going to die?*
Another said, *Did you know your face has lines all over it?*
Another, *Your face is covered in holes*
Need I go on?
Small sprog will always be a hit with the laydeees. He is a real charmer, bless him.
ReplyDeleteYS (7) said to me today that he saw my breasts as volcanoes and wondered if they would ever erupt again with mummy milk.
Oh dear, can I ever inflict enough psychological damage lol?
I hope you gave Small Sprog a hug after that! My children have always found it necessary to point out my shortcomings:) Fortunately, the grandchildren are much kinder, although granddaughter #2 told me when she was about 4 that I was the oldest person she knew!
ReplyDeleteGlad to see you back and to hear you are hanging in there.
My little one has annointed hinself my attack dog and literally runs at the older two if they talk back to me. Comes in very handy sometimes, but probably not good for sibling relations!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on the award!
ReplyDeleteI was once told that there is nothing worse than being ignored. At least your children talk to you.
Congrats on the award Suburbia! I have to say you do deserve it blogging with all that is going on at the moment..
ReplyDeleteI've been thinking of you and how this week has been for you and yours....
keep with the breathing..in, out, in, out..
FFF xxxx
Thanks for passing this on babe!
Maggie May you make me laugh!
ReplyDeleteSuburbia- well done on your award, you deserve it.
Good to see small sprog is supporting you- I hope it continues. My teenager loves to point out anything I do or say which is wrong- maybe it's the domain of the thirteen year old!
May I be with those first few who make eight?
ReplyDeleteThat Small Sprog fellow is going to dance his way flawlessly around the world; count on it.
Cheeky! I've read that your nose and ears carry on growing throughout your lifetime. I was never sure whether to believe this or not, but, when I look at my nose, I think that there probably is some truth in it!
ReplyDeleteDon't count me in for the award, because I already have it.
As I have said before "Small Sprog For Prime Minister!" he could solve a lot of our probs with his diplomacy!
ReplyDeleteMy Dog Blog has just received this same award, and I was totally flattered too! Well seeing as I write the bloody blog and the dog just sits in his basket and basks in his international dog blogging glory, it is well deserved on my part!
Congrats on your award Suburbia! Well deserved!
I think Life is like a river, it flows and it ebbs, but it rushes to the sea.......and who knows where in the world the sea will take you! Remember the poem on my blog by Edward Monkton.......
"Zen Dog
He knows not where he's going,
For the ocean will decide -
It's not the DESTINATION.......
........It's the glory of THE RIDE"
Be brave! My thoughts and kind wishes are with you and Tall Girl and Small Sprog.
You are all embarking on an exciting journey, Dog Speed as we say on the Dog Blogs!
oh and please, please keep blogging, I would miss your news!
Letty ;0)))))))))))))))
May your future ride always be glorious ;0)
I've been hard at work Suburbia and a bit slack on the blogging front but have read your last two posts and would just like to wish you the very best for whatever may happen to you and your family in 2009. A big nose is better than a big stomach! Blogthatmamax
ReplyDeleteAh, offspring. Remind me again why we thought having them was a good idea?! Mine was just asking why my hair had all that white in it. Lovely. Because you put it there, Fruit of My Loins!
ReplyDeleteNobody's ever commented on my nose, it must be the epitome of normal. But people are forever saying I'm too thin and I ought to put some weight on.
ReplyDeleteYes, a blog that cultivates friendship is the best kind. Also blogs that get you thinking and give you new ideas.
Phew! thats a relief. had to wait until you passed 8 comments before i could talk to you. (didn't really want to get the award again - i can't think of another 8 people!).
ReplyDeleteJust simply wanted to say hello and hope you're coping. Yes, children are as tactful as sledgehammers aren't they. They really do let you Have It.
you sound like you're copin okay.
xxxxx
Very well deserved, whatever the nozzle!
ReplyDeleteCatching up here....you've been busy! And making momentous decisions. It takes courage.....Which, along with lots of luck, is what I wish you for the year ahead!
