This weekend was warm and beautiful.
I spent most of it in the country in wonderful company.
Sometimes, there can be such peace and comfort,
such warmth and trust that you feel your whole heart
swell up with it, revel in it and be glad.
There was lots of laughter this weekend and much kindness, and no matter what happens elsewhere, I have experienced it, it will stay with me.
I am lucky and blessed.

That is a beautiful place and I am so pleased that you had such a lovely time.
It was great to get a photo too.
Methinks I might have been there!

Sounds like you had a delicious weekend. Where is the picture from (It looks lovely there)? Strangly the word verification is tifin. Isnt that from Carry on Up The Khyber.
sounds fab!
Hee hee Worrier! It is not the Khyber Pass as I'm sure you can see!! It is the river Wye from Goodrich :)
Or it might have been looking towards Goodrich!! Oops, well it was lovely and somewhere around there!
Good for you!
Hee hee
I last went to Goodrich Castle in 1960.........!!!!
The view is from Yat Rock at Symonds Yat - looking towards Goodrich, along the Wye, I think?
I am so glad that your managing to have some happy times....hold onto them when things get tough!!
Stunning photo!!

It's times like those that make everything worthwhile. :)
And such days will definitely come again soon - they're only around the corner. Always remember that.

Hope you keep that happy glow all week! What a beautiful countryside!
Even through the most hardest of times, there are always wonderful moments that you treasure for ever. Strange isn't it.
Good for you, Sub, I really hope you enjoyed it xx
There is an award for you at mine.
I had a very similar experience this weekend, albeit nothing like as peaceful and tranquil as yours. The memory'll keep us warm in winter evenings...
Very lucky indeed... enjoy :)
A walk in the countryside at the weekend does wonders for me too. It helps to make up for the routine/mundane tasks of the previous and following week. On Sunday we spent a lovely morning, in the sunshine, up on Devils Dyke, a local beauty spot. I must say though my day was somewhat ruined by, don't ask me how I managed it, bringing dog's muck home with me, and on my new walking shoes first outing too! x
I guessed it was Symonds Yat, one of my favourite British scenes, and BS5 Blogger confirmed it.
Almost every English photos I see has me saying, "I want to go back."
Glad you appreciate your beautiful countryside so much.
