Good day / Bad day?

Tomorrow is a big day for me, very big.......because.........the washing machine man cometh! Yes, at last! Almost a month to the day, the man is due to turn up to fix my machine. I've waited since Boxing Day, so not bad really!

Since Boxing Day I have been carrying loads of dirty washing around Bristol and the wider area, quite a lot travelled as far as Cheltenham, to willing friends and relatives who have kindly let me use their machines. Thank you so much, you know who you are!

The man is due at 7.30am. No pressure then! Lets hope it is mend able.

And then there is the little matter of the mediation appointment...

If it is a good day, by tomorrow evening I will have a washing machine that works as well as a custody plan that works too. If it's not a good day I will still be carting washing about later this week and court beckons. Please let it be the former....

  1. It's taken a MONTH to get a repairman to come by??? I would simply DIE! I dunno about in the UK but whenever my washer or dryer has gone kaput, it's actually been almost cheaper to just go out and buy new ones. By the time the repair bill/parts/labor are figured in to it all, it's been only $100 or a little more to just buy a new one. I know that's not always possible, but we have SO much laundry I can't imagine going as long as you have, bless your heart. And I will be praying about the mediation. Hope all goes well, my dear.

  4. Let's hope that both these events have possible outcomes.

Do you not have any launderettes near you? I used to find it the height of excitement as a child to go to the steamy place full of noisy machines

One question - why do you use word veri AND blogger moderation? Just curious because surely if you are going to moderate comments you don't need the former.

  9. A month for the washing machine engineer to turn up? Ye gods! We wouldn't tolerate that here, for sure. Hope it's mendable at any rate.

Best of luck with the mediation.

  10. I can't believe you had to wait this long for the washer repairman to show up! What a relief it will be to finally get yours fixed. But I know an even bigger relief will be after you've had your mediation session. I hope you have those notes ready and that everything goes well. I've got my fingers crossed and am sending positive thoughts your way today.
