The dreaded 50!

It's been a whirlwind few months, a busy 2014 - I'll not forget my 50th year - and so much is going on that I can't write here yet. However this weekend I am celebrating big time! It's my last weekend of being in my 40's and I'm making the most of it! What's the point in celebrating being 50 when you can celebrate being 49 for the last time?! To follow progress from Friday night, ( alcoholic haze permitting) check out my photo-a-day blog here

See you on the other side!

Yet as I'm writing I can't quite believe it's all going to work out... Can we ever let ourselves look forward without a sneaking feeling that it won't happen - something will stop it happening- because I don't deserve it?

Congratulations on your imminent half-century. You may raise your bat and adjust your box. Will you be dressing up for your birthday? I could suggest a suitable outfit...

Congratulations!!!!!! You are still young. I can remember being more strung up about being 39 than I was 49!
Anyway...... have a wonderful celebration!

Fifty? Goodness, that's so young! Still plenty of time to do things you haven't yet done. Is there anything you've always fancied doing but never quite got round to it? Now's the time!

Hope you had a wonderful 50th. I'll be 70 next year. The thought surprises me a bit, but I'm not particularly worried.

Blessings and Bear hugs!
