Are we nearly there yet?!

When I woke this morning I realised this was the day I have been looking forward to and dreading for weeks! (read posts below for further detail!) Sometimes I think the double life that I lead will split me in two as I juggle happiness and loss all at the same time.

However the children have driven me nuts so far this morning, so parting may not be such a sweet sorrow!!! And I am SO looking forward to spending an uninterrupted week with my 'significant other'. Yay for holidays!

Have a brilliant time!
The youngsters will be fine and a separation will give everyone a break.
Enjoy the peace & come back renewed!

I think the sullenness of teen years is to prepare you for when they leave home for good:) Hope you have a wonderful week away!

An uninterrupted week with your significant other - that sounds excellent. I hope it's a very happy and liberating week.

Rose, I think you are so right. We have to 'disattach' ourselves from them, as they do us. Thank you for your insight :)

Have a great time and wave as you pass through Northern parts! If a motorbike passes, a blue one and the passenger has a duck on her back it will be hubby and I! I will look out for a lady with a smile on her face!

was caught by the title of this post, as I was reading your blog.

My youngest son, now 21 and all "growed" up, was very famous in our family history, for once uttering these immortal words "are we nearly there yet" as we crossed the roundabout at the end of our road.......

Have a great Oasis.

Nothing better.
