Tag....You're it!

I know this is a strange picture.
The milkman gave all this too me yesterday for free.
Except the milk!
I'd rather have free milk.
I can feel a trip to the charity shop coming on!
Anyway...
I've been tagged by Maggie May. I think this is called a meme and this is the first one I've ever done so here goes.

1. The rules of the game are posted at the beginning.

2. Each player answers the questions about themselves.

3. The player then tags 5 people, goes to each of their Blogs and leaves them a comment telling them they've been tagged and asking them to read their Blog.

Q. What were you doing 10 years ago?

A. Struggling with life at home as a new mum wondering if things would ever be the same again.

Q. Name 5 snacks you enjoy.

A. Sometimes I get a craving for tinned pilchards in tomato sauce on toast! (I know that’s weird). I eat the childrens sweets from the sweetie jar, with my head in the cupboard so they can’t see if they come in the kitchen. I like the odd glace cherry (the sort you decorate cakes with). Any sort of chocolate (spoonfuls out of a jar if I’m desperate). A perfectly dunked digestive biscuit (or 2 or 3 or….)

Q. Things I would do if I were a billionaire

A. This is hard because I don’t really ever want to have this much. I would make sure my family and friends had enough to live comfortably for the rest of their lives. Then I would start a foundation that would provide for the people in the world who live in poverty, although I have no idea how this would work. (Oh hell do I sound like one of those beauty queens?!)

Q. Five jobs that I have had

A. Cook, cleaner, washer woman, taxi driver, pet grooming. And that’s just this week.

Q. Three bad habits

A. I have a short temper when I don’t get enough sleep.
I can be a perfectionist and therefore expect others to be to.
(According to husband) Blogging!

Q. Five places I have lived

A. 17 Kentmere Close, 3 Queens parade, flat 3 17 Suffolk Parade, 3 Swindon Hall, 17 Meadow lea….. something strange but unplanned with the numbers. Also currently living in a 17!

Q. Five people I want to know more about:

A. In no particular order.
Evelyn Waugh, Bea Campbell, Fi Glover, Phillip Glenister, Philip Pullman

Now for the fortunate/ unfortunate people that have the pleasure of being tagged!
Sorry but it's all good fun!

I'm glad someone else has milk delivered. But my milkman didn't give me any free things! Are you giving him sexual favours?!

Thanks Suburbia :)I haven't come across this Meme before - will have to go away and cogitate over my answers...

Enjoy the sunshine!

Liz, it's funny but I thought someone might find out my guilty secret!

Thanks for tagging me (I think). Just to warn you, it may be a couple days before I respond. I have another meme (can someone explain the true meaning of this word to me??) I also have to respond to. And today is supposed to be gorgeous, so I've vowed to spend it outside instead of sitting here at the computer. I hope the sun shines for you, as well!

suburbia, I don't do memes, nor do I accept awards. Nothing to do with snobbishness or whatever, I just like to keep my posts plain and my home page totally uncluttered by any sort of distraction. I get confused too easily. However, I enjoy reading other people's memes and looking at their awards and pics.

Phillip Glenister, eh? Much better choice of a man than crystal jigsaw's David Tennant. ;-)

Well..... that was fun reading! Number 17 seems to be significant!

If your milkman is prepared to travel he can visit me!
gotta laugh!

Hi Suburbia, I would have emailed it to you but I couldn't find an address....if you can't get it from here, go to nolaughlin@gmail.com

I will be curious to see if anyone needs a translation or clarification on these!
Reasons why the English language is so hard to learn:

1) The bandage was wound around the wound.
2) The farm was used to produce produce.
3) The dump was so full that it had to refuse more refuse.
4) We must polish the Polish furniture.
5) He could lead if he would get the lead out.
6) The soldier decided to desert his dessert in the desert.
7) Since there is no time like the present, he thought it
was time to present the present.
8) A bass was painted on the head of the bass drum.
9) When shot at, the dove dove into the bushes.
10) I did not object to the object.
11) The insurance was invalid for the invalid.
12) There was a row among the oarsmen about how to row.
13) They were too close to the door to close it.
14) The buck does funny things when the does are present.
15) A seamstress and a sewer fell down into a sewer line.

Rose ... no pressure! If you don't feel like doing it don't worry

Billy, so glad you said, now I won't worry about wether to forward you one. Perhaps you have perfectionist tendancies?!

Maggie...you can't have him, he's mine!

Awww you still have milk delivered. Actually, you still have (cows) milk!

I liked the head in the cupboard scoffing sweeties. Neat trick.

Sub', you cheeky moo! I *can* network! Just read your line on Ham's Florida blog - hee hee! That did make me laugh. What great fun this is all turning out to be, bouncing all over the world!

Have a great evening, and thanks for your really enjoyable spirit.

PS: Okay you are right, I had no clue on networking at all. Suburbia to the rescue....

Free from the milkman? Nah...don't believe it.

I didn't think it was possible to have milk delivered any more! And in glass bottles too! I'd worry about someone smashing them! Or does the milkman put them straight in your fridge ;-)

Do you remember 'Watch out there's a Humphrey about'?

Obviously I'm missing something, because what are tinned pilchards? And milk deliveries. I'm missing that too.
I feel that I should add this as well. If you were a millionaire, you know one more thing you'd be doing? Say it with me now......*T*A*X*E*S* Yup. Lots and lots of taxes.

Hi Sam
What a reputation I am building here!
Yes I remember Humphrey!
The milk delivery is my way of cutting down on the use of plastic bottles. We seemed to constantly taking them to the dump and the amount that goes into lanfils is worrying.
As for the glass, the children have got used to being careful, they are a bit older than yours I think.

Jules
Tinned pilchards are just a sort of fish in a tin!
A nice man will deliver milk to your door three times a week if you ask him nicely(!) and pay him of course. He comes about 2am and leaves it by the door step.It saves on plastic because it comes in glass bottles which you send back. Very ecologically friendly.
