Almost daily diary!

This week.....

The mobile library has just trundled up the road, it is white with a lovely rainbow painted on the side. Seeing it always gives me a sort of fuzzy warm feeling. How strange! When I was little I used to think it would be fun to live in a bus (Goodness me I'm blogging about buses again!) and the mobile library seems to have that same potential. Sort of cosy, is that odd?

Anyway, yesterday I spent a lovely lunchtime with Liz from 'Finding life hard'. It was great to see her and strange at the same time. How often do you meet someone for the first time, yet know so much about them, much of it quite personal? She was just as I expected, quietly spoken, kind and caring. I enjoyed meeting her very much, and it made me think again, how keeping this online diary has affected my life in so many ways. Thank you Liz.

Other news: This week, at work, I have to dress up as a dwarf (as in 'Snow White and the'.....) It won't be easy being a dwarf at 5' 10'' and a bit. It is the same day I have a solicitors appointment to start the ball rolling regarding a divorce. Do you think I need to take a change of clothes to work?!!

You have to dress up as a dwarf? Is this for a special occasion or is a rep from the DDA due a visit? ;-)

GREAT IMAGERY!! SNOW WHITE ON HER WAY, SKIPPING TO THE SOLICITORS OFFICE...MAYBE IT WILL SET THE TONE, A GOOD IDEA PERCHANCE?

Well don't go as a dwarf as he might take your husband's side!

Glad you enjoyed your meeting with LIZ. I often wonder if when you meet a blogger it would be an anticlimax or cement a friendship. I never have tried!

I like dwarves. Do you get to carry an axe?

Dressing as Snow White would be a better bet at the solicitors.

Sounds like someone's havin' a larf!

I certainly wouldn't want to live on a bus, or a mobile library. I like my creature comforts. Jenny has always hankered after a campervan, I've managed to dissuade her so far.

As for the solicitor, I should think going as Grumpy would be pretty appropriate in the circumstances.

Not sure about meeting other bloggers. They may not be as I had imagined them to be.

As for your appointment with the solicitor, go as yourself.

THank you too, Suburbia!

I used to imagine living on a bus too. Or in our local library. And I still imagine living in a castle! Or big house. Mainly to wake up in the morning and look out on the grounds. So I suppose I could just live up a tree.

But which dwarf? You can't just say 'a dwarf' ... we need to know which one? Dopey? :-p Happy? Grumpy? I say go to the solicitor's in the same get-up - he might as well know what he's dealing with! Well done on making the appointment.

So glad to hear someone else is over 5ft 10ins - what about shoe size Suburbia? Are yours size 10? I do hope not! I seem to remember that Tall Girl has large feet. With wonky knees I wear clumpy shoes for balance so size 10 mens sporty walking shoes do fine for me!

Or you may want to change into Little Red Riding Hood - all the better to eat them with..! xx

Good luck with the solicitor.

Haven't seen a mobile library since I was a kid! Liz's blog looks interesting, thanks for the link. So glad you had a lovely day with your new found blog friend. I'd make a good dwarf, I'm only five two! Dare you turn up in costume! x

I'm sure solicitors deal with dwarfs all the time and won't bat an eyelid! Which one are you, then?

I think you could have something about the library bus. They’re huge and you easily live in one. As for the change of clothes...yes. If you don’t it will definitely be the day you breakdown or run out of petrol.

LOL, I'd love to see a photo of you as a dwarf:) I think FFF's comment about dressing as Snow White to the solicitor's office sounds like a good idea, though!

How wonderful that you got to meet Liz! I can't wait till the end of May when I will meet some garden bloggers, but there are so many more I would love to meet in person! I imagine the two of you didn't have any trouble finding things to talk about.

Thanks for the comments about the grandkids; I wasn't sure about showing them, but they are older now and look a little different, so I guess I'm safe from stalkers:) It's a pity to have to be so careful. We are enjoying our stay with Daughter in sunny and very warm Arizona.

Gosh Sub sweetie, that reminds me of that scene in the office on comic relief day. the one where David Brent is dressed as an ostrich before he gets bad news.

I am so jealous! I wish WE could meet up! I feel you're such a good friend. Get to London this instant! Or i'll come up there (i love Bristol).

What work do you do sweetie? I haven't thought about you working before.

Cliff Richard... Summer Holiday I think it's all subconcious for us of a certain age... then there was that awful Double Deckers kids programme in the 70s... see it all goes in there.

I keep thinking of becoming a bus driver is the redundancy is for real... always fancied being a bus driver...
