Angels

My neighbour called in on Tuesday. She and her husband have been on a 5 week cruise and they both look very well and happy. "I won't stop" She said as I opened the front door "I just wanted to say thank you for looking after the house while we were away"
"That's sweet of you, but I haven't really done anything. You look well. Did you have a good time?"

You know the sort of thing, the way that sort of conversation goes? Then she said "And how are you?" And I burst into tears! She is a wise old bird, though not awfully old, and was very sweet and kind. I am lucky to have her so close.

Later that day I received a lovely long email from a far away bloggy friend, which also cheered me up and made me feel much better. Both these things happened out of the blue, when I was having a very 'down' day, and all of my usual 'shoulders to cry on' were busy with their own lives. And it just made me think a little. It seems that, sometimes when you are down, little angels are  sent to look  after you. Sometimes all you have to do is wait a while and weather the storm.

Do you have angels?

Angels come in many guises.
You are lucky to have a few round your way.
Wonder Gabriel didn't help you, though he was an arch angel!

Seriously, it will do you good to have a little weep now & then. Sure things will pick up for you. The problem is bound to make you feel low.

My post was over the Easter holiday. Bit late getting it published. Rested for a few days. Back at school now need to rest again!

Come the darkest hour, come to dawn... there are always helping hands when we need them. Sometimes we don't even have to look too hard...

The universe always knows when you need an angel. :)

Sometimes I'm rescued from the depths, and sometimes I'm not. I just figure those are the times when I'm 'meant' to be mulling things over. I think you'd be pretty strange if you didn't have some sad days, given what you're going through - so don't give yourself a hard time. x

Hey chin up Sub.
Wouldn’t a 5 week cruise be nice? I’m excited about 4 days away this summer, let alone a month off. I don’t think I would be able to cope with going back to work after that long though.

I think blogging in a way is one of my little angels. Whenever I'm feeling down I like to post something funny. And reading othere people's blogs is like a little escape for me.

Definitely I have angels. Quite a few times when things have looked a bit desperate and I didn't know which way to turn, suddenly a solution has popped up out of nowhere. I'm sure there's an angel looking after you too, you'll get through it all and better times will come your way.

I'm glad you're feeling better, Suburbia. I do think there are angels looking out for us and that they often take different forms. Glad you had some angels to cheer you up...and thanks for making my day:)

A few (or a lot of) tears always helps I find. Glad that you have your angels. I have some too and they turn out to be the ones I would least expect! Massive hugs Hadriana xx

oh Yes. I do. Suburbia!

Thank you for this post. I was feeling a bit down too today, and this post of yours really made me think!

I had a very weird dream last night about my parents, both long gone now, and it kinda unnerved me, but just a few hours ago I realised what it meant, and felt so much better.

Yes, my angels are up there, looking after me. I am sure.

I hope your tears soon dry, and life gets better, it will take a time, but I feel it in my bones, you are going to be ok.

Trust me.

Letty ;0)

There are times in my life when I look back and realize that I had been in the company of angels. I hope, at the time, that I was truly grateful for their presence.
