It's Friday! Yay!

I have just phoned my mother, she was tipsy, I could hear my step father rabbiting away in the background and belching!

It was only 4pm!

"What are you celebrating?"I asked her.
"I can't remember" She giggled
"What are you drinking?"
"Cheap champagne!" Slurring slightly
"Any left?" I asked
"Not much"

Say no more!

There is something about being over 70 that seems to make drinking in the afternoon more acceptable, don't you think?!! Honestly, the older generation..........

Some oldies tell me they drink more because it helps to dull all their aches and pains. That's their excuse anyway....

Re. the list, try not to think about it and go into self-preservation auto-pilot.

Hoping you have a good weekend. x

Not many things about being 70 that I could look forward to apart from drinking in the middle of the afternoon!

A drink, a giggle, a snooze: life of the retirees. It beats driving on freeways.

Well...I still have 15 years until I reach 70 but reaching 50 was pretty liberating in itself. HA!

As long as it's past 12 then it's completely acceptable to have a drink :-)

Yes, but they're in bed by 7pm. Mind you, I'm usually not far behind!

Good for your Mum! After her near-scare last week, I think she should celebrate. As for me, when I get old, I'm going to eat all the chocolate I want...in fact, I might just start now:)

Rose, I am ahead of you!
